Beliefs

The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.
- Carl Rogers

I believe that education is not only a knowledge gaining process; rather it is about the holistic development of a human being. Children have a strong desire to know and learn. We as adults can see that children are very curious to know about everything that they see, experience, feel or touch. This curiosity gives us a clue that they have an inquiring brain. Thus if we teachers act as facilitator in their quest for knowing, they will certainly become life-long learners. It is my belief that we should not see ourselves to be infallible rather engage ourselves in the process of inquiry learning. The holistic development consists of six dimensions of human existence i.e. physical, social, emotional, psychological, intellectual and spiritual (William Hettler (1984).
